Ingredients

Scale
  • 1½ cups blueberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 10 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1¼ cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (sifted)
  • For the glaze: 1 cup powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons milk, ⅛ teaspoon vanilla extract, pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the blueberry puree by blending blueberries until smooth; simmer in a saucepan on medium-low heat for about 10 minutes until it reduces to approximately ½ cup. Let cool.
  2. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C) and line an 8×8 glass baking dish with parchment paper.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix melted butter and granulated sugar, then add eggs, vanilla extract, and sea salt; combine well. Fold in the cooled blueberry puree gently.
  4. Gradually add the sifted flour, stirring just until combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 35-40 minutes or until set in the center (check with a toothpick).
  6. For the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
  7. Once brownies have cooled completely, drizzle half of the glaze on top; allow it to set before adding the remaining glaze.
